The preservation of the worldlays in taking care of the environment
Environment
At Igcar, we meet all our environmental responsibilities promptly, following the strict guidelines set out by the IEA (Integrated Environmental Authorisation), carefully monitoring and controlling the generation and emission to the environment (atmosphere, water and soil), making annual plans to minimise the generated waste, both dangerous and non-dangerous, and encouraging the values of caring for the planet among our staff and incorporating these values in our production process. Moreover, in addition to our commitment to continuous improvement, we just implanted a Certificated Environmental Management System based on the UNE-EN-ISO 14001:2015 standard for the “Manufacture of optical brighteners and auxiliary products for the textile, paper and detergent industries” activity at our manufacturing facility in Riotinto. This Environmental Management System is also expected to be implemented at the productive plant in Rubí (Barcelona). At IGCAR we have a dedicated Quality Management System (QMS) department responsible for ensuring that all the necessary policies, procedures and protocols are being defined, informed, formed and, therefore, complied with.

Consequently, to ensure and demonstrate our compromise with the quality results in all departments of our company, we have implemented a Quality Management System based on the UNE-EN-ISO 9001:2015 standard.

Monitoring deviation notes
We have a monitoring system for deviations (deviation notes - DN) detected both internally and externally, which allows for a posterior investigation and analysis of the causes of these deviations to avoid a possible recurrence in the future or mitigate the risk in case of their recurrence. Furthermore, we have a system for opening corrective actions (CA), which allows the QMS to monitor them.
