Ignacio Carreras founds Ignacio Carreras S.A. (IGCAR), engaged in the production of auxiliary products for the textile industry.

Start-up of the first factory in Polinyà.

Start-up of the second optical brightener factory in Huelva. The commercialisation of products for the paper and textile sector begins.

Establishment of IGCAR Mexico dedicated to the commercialisation of textile auxiliaries.

Entering the water treatment market.

Acquisition of the factory in Rubí. Entering  the leather and construction market.

Entering the detergency and cosmetics sector.

Establishment of IGCAR Perú, subsidiary dedicated to the commercialisation of IGCAR’s product range.
